ABOUT COASTAL CRAFT KOMBUCHA
Born and raised on the South Shore of Long Island, Coastal Craft Kombucha came into being in late 2012. Like many kombucha enthusiasts, we started brewing our original batches in a dark corner of our house, much to the dislike of our family who was tortured by our late night kitchen antics and couldn't stand the smell of vinegar coming from our room. Luckily, with a lot of patience and support from that same family and some close friends, we were able to take our "Behind the Bed Booch" from our closet and garage to a more fitting commercial space in Oceanside, NY where we've been manufacturing our Downright Delicious kombucha since 2015.
A SHORT LESSON ON KOMBUCHA
Kombucha is a fermented tea made from four simple ingredients: Water, Tea, Sugar, and a SCOBY (which stands for a Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast).
It has been enjoyed by various cultures throughout history as a naturally carbonated, slightly tart, delicious beverage that is low in sugar, caffeine, calories, and rich in probiotics.
